Air Conveying
Principle
The Ling Air Cushion Conveying System can handle most forms of regular shaped packs, empty and full cartons, trays etc. The Ling Air System is based on the use of low-pressure air flowing from a series of louvres and holes punched in the conveying surface plate, providing the required forces to lift and propel the product along.
The shape, size distribution and direction of the louvres and holes control the motion of the product along the conveying surface. The air pressure is generated by centrifugal fan, with the air carried to the louvres in a rectangular duct beneath the louvre plate. The resulting laminar layer of air lubricates the louvre plate and propels the product forwards. Guide rails are incorporated above the air conveyor tracks to keep total control of the product being conveyed.
